Starry Valley

The place where all horses go when they die, the Starry Valley can sometimes be seen from Earth on very clear nights. It appears as a misty streak across the sky. In the Valley, star-grass, a delicious white grass, is plentiful; and pools of liquid moonlight dot the landscape.

Dark Mountain

Even horses in the Starry Valley have arguments, and sometimes those arguments grow into battles. Seen from Earth as a starless part of the sky next to the Starry Valley, the Dark Mountain is where horses driven out of the Starry Valley are chased to. Here, it is always dark, and extremely unpleasant.

Misty Tunnel

When a horse on the Dark Mountain sees mist drifting around, illuminated by a faint light, they know they are near the Misty Tunnel. This tunnel, the only way off the Dark Mountain, is so full of mist that nothing can be seen. The mist is extremely wet and gets into horses' eyes and into their coats, soaking them. However, the tunnel does not branch at all and is easy to follow. It cannot be seen from Earth, as it is inside the Dark Mountain.

The Skyplains

The Skyplains are the place where the Misty Tunnel leads. It is located behind the Dark Mountain, and so cannot be seen from Earth. Though not as pleasant a place as the Starry Valley, the Skyplains are certainly a beautiful place to live, especially in contrast with the Dark Mountain.
